Simon and Alisha
— This simple but honest statement cuts through Alisha’s armour and her walls begin to tumble down.
— She initiated the conversation, plopping herself down on his lunch table, invading his private space. Initially she was the boss of this conversation, directing the flow.
— Then Simon throws her for a loop by asking her why she was being so nice.
— She never paid him any attention before and now she’s giving him drinks and thanking him. Of course there is something off about this, and he calls her on it.
— Simon…so direct, no pretense, just cuts to the chase.
— She reacts flustered and defensive but she quickly concludes that in fact yes, she has never really been nice to Simon.
—Look at her face. It just crumbles under her shame at how she has treated him.
—Yet Simon never brings the past up; instead he gives her an out, a reason for her behavior. His complement to her about beautiful girls melts her heart and she just can’t handle these emotions and so she makes a quick exit.
